BOOKS!!!! are everywhere. In our homes, in our office, at the church, in the grocery store, and they are just everywhere. Do you read them? If you do read them, why do you read them?
I have several blogs that I read just about once a day and sometimes more if they post more than once a day.
Marsha, our Missionary in Ukraine, posted the other day about her favorite Top Ten. LOVED this and it was funny reading because we have the same books. She has read some new favorites and of course, now I want them.
Cindy, Soon to be on the field in Spain, posted about a book she is reading and the title caught me and now I am VERY curious about getting it and reading it. I haven't read that but just her post about the book made me think. I mean REALLY think!!!!!!
I went to another site today and she has a book posted. Talked to Tara last night and she is telling me about a blog-writer that she is reading the book that she wrote.
My first thought is....I need to go to Amazon and look for some books or go to Edward McKays'. I am one that likes to check out books and of course buy them because I want to write in them. The Library doesn't like it to much when you highlight and write in the books.

I listened to Pastor Ricks message this past Sunday. I realized that I had made a commitment to this blog, the Women's Ministry and the Lord and I had fallen off the commitment.
I got busy, and life and this and that and there are nothing but excuses.
I hope that you will forgive me and let's get busy and get this blog back to where it needs to be and what the Lord intends for it to be.
I have changed the background, set up and this and that and will probably do so over the next week or so. JUMP IN!!!!!!
The Lord has given us the opportunity to share and encourage one another. I can't do this by myself.

We Are Able But Are We Willing?

I have been studying the book of Ruth this summer. You may be familiar with the story of Ruth who was faithful to her mother in law, Naomi after the death of her husband and father in law. Ruth could have returned to her family and all that was familiar and comfortable to her. But she didn’t. She returned to Bethlehem with Ruth. There she works hard in the fields of Boaz to help provide for herself and Naomi. In chapter 4 of Ruth we find the custom of the Israelites that allowed the nearest kin to “redeem” the property of a deceased relative including wives and children. This person was considered a kinsman-redeemer. Kelly Minter, the author of the study I am doing, “highlights 3 facets of a kinsman redeemer:

1) A kinsman-redeemer must be near of kin

2) A kinsman-redeemer must be able to redeem

3) A kinsman-redeemer must be willing to redeem

There was actually a closer redeemer for Ruth than Boaz. Scripture does not reveal his identity but it does reveal that he was near of kin, that he was able to redeem, but he was not willing to redeem! And, isn’t it this third element that ends up being our downfall? We’re able, but so often we’re just not willing. This may be one of the most tragic ways for a Christian to spend her life: In the right place with all the right resources but without a willing heart. I so desperately do not want to get to the end of my life to find I’ve missed having an eternal impact because I made all of life’s decisions based solely on what made sense for me and what was for my benefit-unwilling to yield myself to the Lord”

After Pastor Rick’s sermon Sunday about surrender and this reminder of how we must be willing to yield, maybe He’s trying to get our attention. Think about it. Could he be trying to tell us we need to be willing to be made willing? I am just saying…..

The Rest of The Story....Part 2

As I sat there that day in my Dad's pottery shop making and forming my first piece of pottery and watching my husband do the same thing, I couldn't help but to think of the way that the Lord is molding and making us.

We are nothing but a big glob of clay on The Potter's Wheel.
Sometimes when His hands are upon us, they are heavy.
There is a lot of pressure or heaviness. Like when we haven't been with Him in the quietness of the morning in a while.
Sometimes there is even some pulling and pushing in our lives. We are being pulled and pushed at work, at home, in family life and other places.
Of course then there is that gentle water. That feeling of the coolness in the morning as it flows over you as He molds your heart while you read and study His word.
There is the uncomfortable-ness of when He is working out the imperfections.
He may use a blade.
He may use a sponge.
He may use some water and a gentle finger for just that one particular area.
Then he gentle covers you with His water again and the imperfection is gone.
You continually stay on The Potter's wheel.
The amazing thing is that His hand never comes off.
His presence and touch is always there.
As the clay that is on the wheel, you have no control over what He chooses to do.
You have no control over what He has planned for you.
You love Him and trust Him.
He already knows what you are going to look like.
You will look like Him because we are created in His image.
No, being on The Potter's wheel is not easy.
It's not always gentle but you know that He loves you.
His touch is always there.
He doesn't take His eyes off of you.
He never leaves you just spinning out of control on the wheel.
One day we will be a finished product.
We will have been created to do His perfect will.
We will have been through the fire and will be PERFECT!!!!
Oh, how I can't wait for that day.

I posted the other day the scripture about the potter's house and being in The Potter's hands.
The weekend of July 4th, our family went down to my parent's house in Georgia. What a weekend it was. We didn't stop for a minute. We had so much to do and so little time. The weather was PERFECT that weekend. You may or may not know that my Dad makes pottery. He does great work. I have some of his pieces and just love them so much. I collect pottery coffee mugs but feel guilty for buying them because my Dad makes pottery, why would I buy someone else's stuff. Any way, we have always talked about getting me to do something on the pottery wheel in the pottery shop. Well, this was going to be my time. The cool part was that my husband, Bo got to do it to. Of course we have lots of pictures. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!
As I watched, my Dad start with just this very odd shaped piece of clay that he had taken from a very large slab and pounded it on the table a few times to get things going. We then placed it on the wheel. Then you have to use your feet to get the thing going and it's not as easy as it looks. Once it gets moving, you put the water on with your hands and the molding starts.
It's messy but it feels so good on your hands. I watched him in a matter of a few minutes make a small spoon rest. They are so VERY neat. Then it was my turn. I put on the apron while he got everything ready then I sat down. I had seen what he had done and now it was my turn. I put on the water and it was just spinning under my hands. I listened as my Dad coached me through the entire process. GENTLE here. FIRM there. PULL and PUSH equally on both sides coming up the side of the bowl. Before I knew it....I had made a small bowl to put my paperclips in on my desk at work. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
My husband sat down and I watched as he made his container for his desk. The edge on his is flared and he even put a texture on the outside. It was amazing to watch it all come together in just a matter of a few minutes. AMAZING!!!!! Of course me being the Journal-er that I am (Thanks to Marsha and Peggy) this was a journaling moment if I had ever seen or had one.

“We Christians are too calculating today. We calculate how much risk we are willing to take, how much sacrifice were willing to make. We seem to forget that the highest and most glorious privilege in the world is to have the chance to suffer for Christ.
When we consider going to some dangerous and hostile area, our friends call us mad. Our parents may accuse us of not loving them. But Jesus said to his disciples, "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves" (Matthew 10:16).
Throughout history, the greatest advances of the Gospel have come through suffering and sacrifice. That is God's preferred way - starting with his own Son. And today many around the world have severely suffered and are suffering for Christ.
Those who would join the ranks of the missionary endeavor must likewise be willing to suffer and sacrifice. They must count the cost and be prepared to pay it. God is ultimately the one who will set the price of their service. Let their calculating spirit be replaced with a sacrificing spirit. Lord, send to the mission field such workers.”

This week I listened to a sermon by Andy Stanley that was given at the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando a few weeks ago. It was powerful and challenging. My toes hurt when the sermon was finished and at the same time I couldn’t wait to implement some of the things that I was hearing. There was a single question in the sermon that has continued to ring in my head and that question will be the extent of this post. Ministry is not just the programs at church; it is what you do every day to reach those around you for Christ. What is your answer?
Are you going to continue to be in love with a model of ministry, and simply flirt with the Great Commission,” he asked. “Or are you willing to fall in love with the Great Commission and abandon a model of ministry that you know in your heart is not making a difference in your city?”

Next Saturday I leave with Scott and Hannah and Alex for Michigan. We will be at the SEND International Headquarters for two more weeks of training. The majority of the training will be cross-cultural training, both for us and the kids. Hannah and Alex are excited about meeting some kids who understand all the thoughts that are going through their head. Scott and I are excited because we realize it puts us one step closer to Spain.

Part of the requirements before we arrive is to read three books. Have We No Rights by Mabel Williamson is a short, seemingly easy read. Until you stop and think about what you are actually reading. The book attempts to summarize rights that career missionaries give up to reach the lost.

Williamson says “On the mission field it is not the enduring of hardships, the lack of comforts, and the roughness of that life that make the missionary cringe and falter. It is something far less romantic and far more real. It is something that will hit you right down where you live. The missionary has to give up having his own way. He has to give up having any rights. He has, in the words of Jesus, to “deny himself.” He just has to give up himself.

Paul knew all about this. If you do not believe it, look at 1 Corinthians 9. “Have we no right to eat and to drink?” He asks. “Have we not a right to forbear working?....Nevertheless, “he goes on, “we did not use this right… Though I was free from all men, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more” (vv.4, 6, 12, 19)

Paul, as a missionary, willingly gave up his rights for the sake of the Gospel. Are we ready to do the same?

But, someone will ask, why should this be especially true for the missionary? What rights must be given up on the mission field that a consecrated Christian at home would not have to give up?”

The book goes on to answer that question with a list of 11 rights that are given up to be a missionary. The rights include things such as privacy, ordinary safeguards of good health, to run things and more. And yes, I realize that the missionary on international soil must give these up in greater extremes than my mind can even fathom today. But what about the missionary (all believers) left at home?

Are we ready to “bring myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more?” What are you hanging on to that you aren’t willing to forsake for the sake of the gospel? Jesus gave up every right that he deserved for the sake of all of us. Do we really deserve more rights than Christ?

Well, it's almost the 4th of July......where in the world has the year gone???? I pray that you will be mindful of what a blessing it is to live in this country over the weekend and if you see past or present service men and women, please tell them a huge THANK YOU!!!!!!

As the summer is now in full swing, what are your plans? Are you going to be traveling? Hanging out at the pool? Swimming at the Lake? Camping? Seeing family and friends? Whatever your plans are, take the time to realize that those around you are watching. They are watching you and your family and your children. What kind of witness are you being? Can they see Christ in you? Are you being His child and His ambassador?
Just some thoughts for today. I hope that you have an awesome day today and a glorious weekend!!!!!!!! Be safe and be prepared to share the HOPE that is in you!!!!!

Think About It Thursday

I was listening to K-Love on Monday this past week. Of course, Make a Difference Monday, they were challenging the listeners to Make a Difference. I listened as they featured Max Lucado and talked about what we can do that will make a difference after we are gone. Scripture talks about when we give a drink, give food, provide clothing that we have done it to the Lord. They talked about the things that others do in his church. For example, his wife buys $5 gift cards from McDonalds, Wendy's and other places and hands them to the people that stand on the corner. Another group in the church collects quarters. Once they have a jar full, they go to the local laundry mat and pay for people's laundry. When they ask what and why, that opens the door for them to share the Gospel and the Lord with them.
I was truly challenged. What about you? What are you doing to Make a Difference for eternity?

So, I can't challenge you without doing it first. So, here we go.......
**What is He doing in your life? I can say for sure that He is for sure active in our life. I have seen Him provide and seen Him work in provision, rest, work and relationships.
**YES!!! He is active. He is active because I am watching Him work. Time for me to take my hands off and allow Him to work.
**Safety in travel to take Kaleb to meet up with my parents to spend a week.
**I am so thankful for my family and for my church family. I don't know how people do it without a church family!!!!!!!!

Good Day!!!!! Hope you are all doing well. I would for sure say that VBS was a TOTAL PRAISE!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! We are so thankful and so very blessed.

Over the next little while, I will be writing on the blog. Tara and her family have a lot going on at this time and her focus is in her home, as it should be.

Searching For The Savior Saturday

Over the past couple of weeks some circumstances have challenged me to consider this question – “Do I have a heart for missions or a heart for the lost?” Maybe at first, you see no difference in the two, but I am learning there is definitely a difference. I have also decided it is possible to have a heart for missions and not a heart for the lost, but you cannot have a heart for the lost and not have a heart for missions.” Confused yet? As you read on, pray that God will show you which heart you have, or do you have one of these hearts at all? Grab a Diet Coke (my choice of drink on a Saturday morning) and let’s spend a little time together.
I’ve heard a lot of people say lately that they have a heart for missions. What does a heart for missions look like? It is a heart that loves seeing and hearing the results of mission work. It is a heart that enjoys serving at the homeless shelter and traveling to foreign countries to do “mission work.” It is one that finds great joy in giving to the mission offerings or building a church in third world country. It is a heart that can’t stand to camp but will spend ten days or ten years in an African village sleeping on straw mats and carrying water in a clay pot. Nothing I have listed above is bad. But most of what I have listed reflects a heart for “mission work.” Unfortunately, for many that is where their heart is (and was for me for a long time). They have a love for the work of a missionary.
Now ask yourself what it looks like to have a heart for lost. What’s the difference in a heart for the lost and a heart for missions? I think a heart for the lost looks broken and crushed because someone today is dying without knowing Jesus. Their heart hurts because today someone is facing cancer, divorce, financial burdens, loss of a child, life decisions, … without the hope and peace that comes from having a relationship with Jesus. I think someone with a heart for the lost has a heart for people and not work.
So back to my original question – which heart do I have? When was the last time I mourned over the fact that today someone I know will face another day without Jesus? What about you? God is growing the heart for the lost in me and it is scary and exciting. He is challenging me to prove what my heart is really about (check out June 19th post on my blog at http://www.ourmissionjourney.blogspot.com/ to read of one of those challenges).
If I have a heart for the lost I am going to have a heart for missions – because as we discussed last week – missions exist to bring all people to the point of worshiping God. But I can have a heart for missions – for the work they are doing, for the good things that come out of missions, even for the good organizations or people who are doing missions – and not have a heart for the lost. A heart for missions will help do great things. A heart for the lost will change eternity.
My heart is changing daily. I am growing a heart for the lost that is making the wait to reach the lost of Spain harder by the day, yet at the same time making me want to grab every available opportunity here in Greensboro to share His love. My heart is growing more and more crushed for the lost and more and more in love with being called to be a missionary. I’ve got a long way to go to have the heart I believe God intended for me to have. It’s been humbling to admit the need for this change and yet exciting to see how God is working.
What about you? Where is your heart today? This week’s challenge – ask some hard questions of yourself. When was the last time you mourned the fact that people all around you were dying without Jesus? Are you ready to set aside your pride of being in church and a Christian all your life and ask God to give you a heart for the lost? Be prepared for Him to answer with a resounding yes.

We will return to our Roman Road memorization next week. I found this on Living Proof's blog this week and just really wanted to share it here. I am watching marriages fall apart all around me and it just absolutely breaks my heart.
Melissa, Beth's daughter, wrote this about her wedding ring that had to be repaired. It made so much sense at the end when she compared the ring to be repaired. You can link up with their blog on the right sidebar.
I give ALL credit to her here. This has just stuck in my head all week.

"Our marriages are somewhat like my engagement ring. The core – the diamond – holds a great love story with lots of passion and commitment. But everyday wear and tear and the occasional traumatic event can do a number on the metal that holds it together. Some of our rings could just use some polishing while others need some real restoration. God can do both! Remember that He loves marriage. He created it, after all. I’m praying that God will show each one of us a specific way we can invest in our marriage to strengthen it and bring out its beauty."

Searching For The Savior Saturday

For those of you who don’t know me, my husband and I have been appointed to serve as international missionaries in Spain. We have taken an exciting, yet challenging journey to get to this point and pray that in less than a year we will be there. Over the next couple of Saturdays I invite you to join me as I share some of the things I have learned in our journey to become international missionaries. We’ve learned a lot about ourselves, but more importantly, we’ve learned a lot about God and His plan. It has been a humbling journey and an exciting journey. So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the ride!Recently a missionary to Uruguay asked a group of children I was working with “what is the number one priority of a missionary.” What would be your answer? Their answers matched some of mine: build churches, tell people about Jesus, teach Bible studies, feed and clothe the poor… He told us that yes; those were all good things, but not the missionary’s number one priority – that is to have an intimate, personal relationship with God. Seems obvious, but does it? Missions do not exist so that people are fed or churches are built. “Missions exist because worship doesn’t.” (John Piper in Let the Nations Be Glad). The ultimate goal of the church is worship and because there are nations in our world who are filled with those who are not worshiping God, missions exist. If a missionary is not focusing on their own personal relationship with God there will be great difficulty in leading others to the ultimate purpose of the church. Again, Piper says “Where passion for God is weak, zeal for missions will be weak. Churches that are not centered on the exaltation of the majesty and beauty of God will scarcely kindle a fervent desire to ‘declare His Glory among the nations.’” Same thing goes for a missionary – where their own passion for God is weak, their zeal for those around them will be weak.After discussing this question the Uruguayan missionary asked “what is the number one job of a missionary.” Since all the answers they gave to the first question were wrong, they tried the whole list again. Guess what, they were once again wrong. According to him, the number one job of a missionary is to live an ordinary life that shows the power of an unordinary God. The job of the missionary is to go to the market, to make friends, participate in classes, ride the subway, go to sporting events, etc. and shine God through their life style, attitudes, countenance, peace, joy, caring, and more. What a relief that was to me as I try to figure out what my life will be like in Spain. My job is not to accomplish great things, but to instead live an ordinary life with ordinary people to allow an extraordinary God to shine through and then to be prepared to tell of this God. I can do that. What about you? Are you willing to be obedient in God’s call to missions? Nothing I have written so far about the call of a missionary has anything to do with selling all your belongings and moving to another country. It’s all about a lifestyle. Yes, God has given us a vision for international missions, but He gave all believers the same command “God ye into all the world.” If you are a believer in Jesus then you too are called to go – maybe it is next door, maybe it is across the world. Neither the priority nor job of a missionary requires a seminary degree or deep theological understanding. So, this week’s challenge is – what is keeping you from being a missionary?

Welcome, it's Testimony Tuesday and of course being a busy mom and wife, I totally forgot to talk or ask anyone to share. Hmmmmmm .......so what should I write about? Well, it's Testimony Tuesday and of couse I should be thinking of "what has He been up to and what can I give Him praise for?"
Well, I will start and you take it and run with it.......
**He provided a breeze and clouds on Sunday at the park with our Sunday School class
**He provided a Gideon on Sunday morning to challenge me
**He showed me very clearly that I was to blog this week.
**He is challenging me to step it up.
**He is alive and active in my life in ways that this blog is not nearly big enough for me to share.
**He is encouraging me in getting my passion for childbirth, pregnancy and the new mother up and running.
**He is pushing me out of my comfort zone.
Ok, I could keep going on and on and on but I want to hear what He is doing in your life...........Leave it in the comment section!!!!!!! We all need to rejoice and encourage one another!!!!!!

I have been convicted as of late about leading someone to Christ.

How is that truly done?

Would I know what to say?

Do I know the scripture?

So for the next few Sundays, I thought we would focus on what we as Southern Baptist call the "Roman Road".

I am not good at scripture memorization. I can't do it without His help. Therefore, let's get started. Let's take one verse a week. Commit it to memory and be ready to share Him with whomever He leads us to!!!!!
1John 1:9- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Remembering God's Priority
Numbers 15:37-41
At times, people will say, "I've made Jesus a part of my life." But this statement reveals that they have missed the point. The truth is, Jesus can never be simply a part of life; at salvation, Jesus becomes our life—everything revolves around Him, because He is the central focus.
For the believer, the essence of living is to walk in childlike obedience to Christ. That means we express His righteous life simply by faith; to do this, we depend on the power of the Holy Spirit for enablement and divine grace for forgiveness when we stumble. And stumbling will occur because we live amidst two kingdoms that are in constant conflict. On the one hand, there's the pull of the world, and on the other, the pull of God. In other words, Satan throws temptations our way, but from our Father comes the appeal of holiness, peace, and joy in Christ.
That's why Jesus taught, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." The way to do this is by opening God's Word daily and letting Him use Scripture to flush from our minds anything that doesn't fit with His priority (Rom. 12:2). We are also to remind ourselves frequently of His commands and His greatness (Ps. 105:4-5; Num. 15:37-41).
The battle is ongoing. And it rages not just in the realms of education, science, politics, and finances but also within every human heart. Since there's no way to make it in life without Christ, it's critical that we keep God's priority as our own and make continual course corrections to stay on track.

Think About It Thursday

Thought for the week: I Kings 1:1-10 " In the time of a Crisis"
King David is coming to the end of his life, he is old and sick. His eldest son sees an opportunity to exalt himself to the throne even though he knows God has chosen Solomon to be the next King. Adonijah even begins a feast in his own honor to celebrate his new position. This could be a sad day for Israel if he takes over. David is made aware of the situation and takes action quickly and makes Solomon his coregent(co- King) and derails Adonijah. When a crisis comes, the crisis isn't what makes a person. A crisis shows what a person is made of. Different people respond differently. David is a good example even in his poor physical condition. David responds immediately; he knew there was nothing to gain and everything to lose if he failed to act quickly. Then David stayed with those who were loyal. A prophet, a priest & a bodyguard were men he could trust. Be careful who you are close to. Choose your friends and associates carefully; they will care for you when others forsake you. Many followed Adonijah mistakenly. David also served his generation by the will of God. He did the right thing according to what God wanted. And in closing, it helps when you face a crisis if you know the Lord as your savior and remember that God is always faithful. God will do what He needs to do for our good and His glory. David knew God was with him; he was not afraid. Friends, God is with you and will bless you as long as you follow and do His will. Adonijah was not a leader but an opportunist. A leader will ask "What can I do to help people?" An opportunist will ask, " How can I use this situation to promote myself and get what I want."

Testimony Tuesday

I have needed to sit down and tell about this for a couple of days but couldn't seem to find the time to do it.
So, let's get going.......
Giving Testimony to what He can do when you are doing what He has called you to do.
I had a delivery last week. It was at a local hospital and we were just waiting for him to make his entrance. No concern over induction or anything of that nature. I on the the other hand was experiencing a brief episodes of panic when I would try to figure out all the "What ifs". I have discovered with every delivery I do this. Anyway, it was a normal day at work with a lot going on. My husband works at a nursing home and "The State" had decided to do their evaluation. STRESS WAS SOOOO VERY HIGH!!!!!!
Anyway, I went about my day as usual. I had a new OB interview at 4pm. When I stopped in my office to pick up something my phone beeped. A message was left and a missed call from "Mom". "My water broke". Perfect!!!!! I called her back, she was calm and getting things together. It was almost time for me to leave. Perfect! Her last delivery was a VERY LONG ONE!!!! I was nervous for her but decided to see how things went and just put it in His hands. She opted for an epidural. (This was 9:45pm-remember this time). There was a 20 minute wait because they were in another room so she opted for Stadol. 20 beautiful minutes of perfect rest. Total relaxation. I had to leave due to hospital regulations during the epidural. Only one person in the room. I took a wrong turn because this is not the hospital I was familiar with. I turned around and there was "Dad". "You need to get back in here". I was fearful something was terribly wrong. No, nothing wrong, just time to have a baby. After 5 pushes, we had a very healthy, happy, beautiful baby boy!!!!!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Baby born at 10:42. WOW!!!!!!! HE was so totally at work. Here are the parts that I just love........
He had me to receive the phone call at the right time at work.
No problems leaving work.
Kaleb was taken care of thanks to my AWESOME husband who supports me so much in the life of being a DOULA!!!!
No problems with delivery.
It was a fast delivery.
No problem with having to miss work......THIS IS THE 25th BABY and STILL NO INTERFERENCE WITH WORK!!!!!!
Home before to late.
I had no money (cash) in my wallet when I was leaving and worried about how to get out of the parking deck. Praying all the way to the car and when I got to the gate.......It was wide open and NO FEE TO BE PAID!!!!!!!
Safe travel home.
McDonalds drive thru is open late.
Had about 4 hours of great sleep and back to work the next day.
IS HE GOOD OR WHAT!!!!!!!!!

Just needed to share!!!!! I serve an awesome GOD!!!!!

Are you excited that it is the weekend?
Is your schedule so full this weekend that you can't see straight?

This morning as I read about the plane crash in India, my heart just broke.
Yes, it's on the other side of the world.
Yes, I probably didn't know a single person on that plane.
Yes, I have traveled to India on 2 occasions and left a piece of my heart there and brought them home with me in my heart.
I find myself in the last couple of years thinking.......Those people have died and where are they spending eternity? Do you ever think about that? Do you ever read a story and say to yourself..."That is is just tragic" and keep going? There comes a sense of urgency when I see and read about things of this nature. Have you thought lately about your friends, you family, your neighbors and where will they be spending eternity? What are you doing to help them and show them about who Christ is and how much He loves them? I am once again convicted and my heart is broken for those that are wandering around WITHOUT HIM!!!!

Focused Friday

This one maybe a little "touchy" or step on your toes but trust me, it has been all over me this week. I am sharing this from a personal perspective and not pointing fingers at ANYONE! Just something to consider or ponder and really pray over and ask Him to reveal what, if anything, that you need to change or do differently.
Ok, we all know about this wonderful world of technology. Yes, it is great! It has it's positives and it has it's fair shares of the negatives as well.
How many of you are on MySpace?
Are you on Facebook?
How much time do you spend in those places?
Do you have a blog, or 2 or 3?
I am a one that can get sucked into an Internet game in a heartbeat. Farm Town, Farmvile, Bejeweled........you know who you are...... I got sucked into the world of Bejeweled. What a fun game. What wonderful colors and Oh all the points you can get!!!!!! Very obsessive!!!!! Very easy to say, "Just one more time" "Just one more minute" "I can beat that last game" The other night as I sat saying all of those things and just kept playing over and over and over, I heard something. No, it was not that awful voice on the game that encourages you to keep going. It's sounds demonic at times when I think about it. Anyway, it occurred to me through this voice within me that this is wasted time. This is time I could be reading a book. I could be reading my Bible. I could be listening to Praise and Worship before going to bed. I could be praying. Where was my focus???? My focus was on the game. That is what I had chosen to do. I was convicted on the spot. I turned it off and repented for wasted time.
Now for confession. I'm sitting at a different computer and the enemy brings to mind that I should check my Facebook and see what's going on and maybe play a game or 2. Well, let's just say that MY GOD IS BIGGER! This computer DOES NOT HAVE the required program to run Bejeweled. Is He good or what?!!! He knew I would have a temptation and He gave me a way out. Bottom line is that I knew I was to write this post and was checking FB instead of writing. So, I am here to tell you, NO MORE BEJEWELED FOR ME!!!!!! He has made that clear to me and I must do what He has said!!!!!!
All of that being said...
What steals your focus?
What keeps you from doing what He what He wants you to do or not do?
I have heard it stated that anything that takes our focus off of Him is a sin/idol. OUCH!!!!!

Think About It Thursday

Four years ago tonight(I am writing this on Wednesday) I was on my way to a softball game with my hubby and 2 boys with a smile on my face for the first time in weeks. You see I was very pregnant and extremely miserable. I still had 4 weeks to go but earlier in the day I was told that tomorrow would be the day, so , I had a whole new perspective. At the game a friend said, "You look like a different women than the one I saw two days ago." I replied, "I have hope." Thinking back about that day I wonder how often I walk around like I have no hope. How often to I live whining and complaining instead of living out the hope I have in Christ? When people look at me today do they see someone who lives a life of hope no matter what the circumstances?

Welcome to Testimony Tuesday. I have been trying to really think about something to share here. It has been really hard for me understand and to write about Testimony Tuesday. Not that I don't have anything to share because I could share TOO much is my problem.
It's one of those things that when the Lord does a work in your life, it is really hard to want to keep it to yourself and you want to shout it from the roof tops and yes, people will look at you like you have totally lost your mind and they think you have totally gone off the deep end. Guess what??? That so does not matter!!!!! What matters is that when, not if, He is working in your life and we are looking beyond our circumstances do we realize what He is doing and give HIM ALL THE CREDIT. We can take NONE!!!!! So, my question for you today is, "What is He doing in your life?" If people think you have lost your mind, or if you have gone off the deep end, they can take it up with Him. What a thought?
The other thing that is concerning and something that I have been thinking a lot about lately is the fact that it is hard to get people to share on this day. Does that mean that He is not at work? Does that mean that you are not looking for Him? Are your circumstances so big that you can't see Him? Are you embarrassed? What keeps you back from wanting to shout it from the roof tops what He is doing in your life? I recently was listening to a teacher and she was talking about the day of Christ resurrection from the grave. She talked about Mary going to the tomb to prepare Jesus' body for burial. She was so much in grief. She was so intently focused on the facts about what she had seen with her eyes and experienced with the crucifixion and her hurting heart. She was prepared and ready to do what she was suppose to do. She was concerned about who would roll the stone away. She gets to the tomb and the stone is rolled away. Her first reaction is "Where have they taken Him?" Of course, this was her focus. She is grieving and she is concerned. She even speaks with the angels as if that was an everyday occurrence. She even turns and speaks to "The Gardener", Christ, Himself and doesn't even realize who she is speaking to UNTIL......He Says Her Name....."Mary" and the it hits her. He is alive. He is standing in front of her just like He had said and promised. I think just as the teacher was teaching, we get so wrapped up in our circumstances and what is happening here and there and Jesus is right there. He's calling your name. Have you heard Him? Are you listening? Don't miss Him because your focus is off. Then just like Mary, once you have regained your focus, GO AND TELL!!!!!!
All of that being said, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that He is for sure working in my life. I have watched Him move mountains in the last couple of weeks. I have seen Him change my attitude at work, my attitude at home and I can only give Him the credit. I have made the CHOICE to change my focus. What about you????? What is He doing in your life?????

IT"S ALMOST MOTHER"S DAY

Well, it's almost Mother's Day. What are you doing?
Going to lunch with the family?

Going to your Mom's house?
Going to church in the morning?

Mother's Day is such a special day. It always amazes me to listen to people talk about what they have planned and what they are hoping to do. I have thought a lot about it this year. Many of you know some of the difficulties that we have dealt with our daughter. It's a bittersweet Mother's Day because we are not sure where she is this year.
Maybe you have a prodical child.
Maybe you yourself are a prodical child that has come home.
Maybe you are a Mom with empty arms because your child is already in heaven.
Maybe you are a Mom in your heart but you don't have that biological child.
Maybe you are a Mom by adoption.
Maybe you are a Spiritual Mom.
What is your Mother's Day going to mean to you this year??????
Ok, for the shy one's, I will start.....
My name is Pam. Mom to Kyle, Tonya, Kaleb and "Kiara" (miscarriage). Wife to Bo. A sinner saved by grace. My Mom is AWESOME!!!!! She is a blessing upon blessing. She and I have developed a relationship that is so close over the last 10 years that I would not trade for the world. My Grandmother was a Godly woman. I remember her standing in the kitchen while I sat in a recliner and listened to her pray for her friends. What an impact. My Granny was so dear. Always encouraging and because of her love of missions and taking my Mom to the WMU meetings when she was little, she shared that love and passion and now I have that heritage to share with my children. My Spiritual Mom lives on another continent but she is so close through e-mail, SKYPE (if I can figure that out) and of course FaceBook. She teaches and she keeps me focused. I miss all of these women. Mom is in Georgia but always as close as a phone. Grandmother and Granny are already serving the Lord in Heaven and Marsha is in Ukraine.

Focused Friday

I am amazed and overwhelmed at time how the Lord is so busy at work. Last night I had the privilege of attending a Bible Study. It's called Bible Study Fellowship. Many years ago I had the privilege of attending the class on The Life of Moses. It was truly a life changing experience for me.
Do you struggle with quiet time and Bible Study? I know that I do. Structure is key for me. Take away the structure and I just am floundering like a fish out of water. This new class does not start until September. I may be so excited by the time class starts that I may just bust a gut. I have never studied Isaiah and it's so exciting.
He is so at work. Once again, I listened to the Teaching Leader Monday night and "those" words came up again. CHOICE, CHOOSE, SECURITY. WOW!!!!!! I was once again so aware of His presence.

Searching For The Savior AND Silent Sunday

Tonight, I realized that I had forgotten to post this morning. At the same time, maybe there was a reason that I didn't.
Tonight my heart is heavy for a family that I have known for a very long time. They have been thru a lot and now things have taken a turn. It's headed down a road that no-one should EVER have to go down. The ugly "D" word of Divorce. But of course Separation comes prior to that.
What in the world is happening to our marriages?
Why are we not on our face before the Lord for them?
Oh, how my heart just hurts.
I have been there.
It is a hard place to be.
It's a lot of hurt and stress.
It's a lot of tears shed on shoulders and on pillows.
Men and Women!!!!! PRAY FOR YOUR SPOUSE AND PRAY FOR YOUR MARRIAGE!!!!!!
We need to share with that "safe" person if there is trouble.
We need to be transparent with our hurts.
The church is the place and the people that we should be leaning on.
If you or someone you know is having a marital problem, problems in a relationship with their children, no matter how old they are, please let someone know that is a "safe" person for you. TALK ABOUT IT and seek council!!!!!!!!!

Good FRIDAY!!!!! To YOU!!!!!!!!

We have made it through another week. Maybe your week was long. Maybe it went way to fast. Maybe you have struggled this week. Maybe you have had a prolonged mountain top weekend. I am still not sure where I have landed yet. Last weekend, many women in Greensboro attended the Beth Moore Simulcast. It was truly an event! I did post the "Commissioning" and the acrostic on my computer at work. A constant reminder in front of me. I also purchased the Travis Cotrell CD and I think it has played a 100 times in my office on the computer.

Now, to get to the point of this Focused Friday. I have talked to a couple of other women that attended and I keep hearing the same thing.

CHOICE.

CHOOSE.

SECURE.

I have come to realize that we have a choice.

We have a choice about our attitude.

We have a choice in our response.

We have a choice in our actions.

We have a choice to be secure.

WE SHOULD BE SECURE......WE ARE HIS!!!!!!!

Confidence does not equal arrogance.

We can be confident in HIM!

We can be confident in the CROSS!

We can have confidence in FORGIVENESS!

We can be confident in the RESURRECTION!

We can be confident in ETERNAL LIFE!

In that, we should be women who are confident, secure and beloved. We all have some type of "issue" with insecurity. I pray that you know Him. Oh, dear sister, if you do not, PLEASE, I beg of you, e-mail us, leave a comment and let us show you what security in Christ can do for you!!!!

If you are already a Beloved Child of the King, I would ask that you focus on Him today. Praise Him for your security. Make the CHOICE today to be that Secure Woman In Christ.

Well, if you were at the Simulcast this weekend, you probably took part in this "Commissioning". It was so powerful and so filled. If you were not there, you can get a glimpse into what all we learned.

Searching For The Savior Saturday

Good Morning!!!!!
This is the day.
This is the day, that the Lord has made.
I will rejoice.
I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Today is the Beth Moore Simulcast at Cornerstone. Yes, I realize that probably most that will be there are all ready in a relationship with Christ. Yet, I also know that there will be some that are not. Maybe they have a false sense of a relationship. Maybe they are just going through the motions.
PRAY!!!!!!! for this event today. It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of praying. But it only one comes to Him in total faith, then it is all worth it!!!!!!!!
Update you tomorrow!!!!!! Stay tuned.

Less than 24 hours, we at Cornerstone and those around the US will be taking part in the Beth Moore simulcast. Praying and excited about tomorrows events is where my mind has been. All of the details, the weather, the food, the technical, and all of those other details that so many have worked so hard for.
Today, for those of you that maybe attending tomorrow at Cornerstone or at another church I have a couple of questions for you. Trust me, these are questions that I have thought about as well.

2. What do you hope to get out of it?
3. Are you going with a sense of expectancy?

Today I want to pray for the missionaries that we met yesterday. I want to pray for their ministries, pray that they get rested and the medical attention they need while they are here. Pray for funds to come quickly so they can return to their countries. Pray for the ones in transition as they are preparing to enter new territory. Pray that God would soften the hearts of the people group they are serving. Pray that God would use this time to grow their relationship with Him. Pray that they would have good fellowship with other missionaries.

I got this in an E-mail and wanted to share it with you today!

Thought for the Week: "Whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he." Proverbs 16:20b

An unhappy life causes negative emotions. This can invade your professional and personal relationships and destroy your self esteem. I have dealt with this in counseling individuals many times in various degrees. Sometimes people are unhappy in a job situation, their marriage or in life in general. We must learn to dig up the roots of the cause, just like you have to dig up the roots of weeds in your flowers or your garden to ever get rid of them.
What are we to do ? Focus on what makes you happy by doing some simple exercises.
Week One: Keep a daily diary. Identify daily activities, interactions, and occurrences that make you happy. Keeping a diary will help identify situations and people who make you happy.
Week Two: Fake it till you make it. Learn to smile even if you are feeling blue, grumpy or burdened.Studies show when you smile, you send a signal to your brain that says- "I am Happy". If you are smiling, you'll seem more approachable by others, people are more likely to smile back.
Week three: Create a diversion. When you are drowning in a sea of negative thoughts(like- I'm over weight, I'm unlikeable, Why am I here?) You need a strategy to stop. All you need are one or two escape mechanisms. If you are alone, put on your favorite music or go for a long walk. In a social setting try to concentrate on what others are saying rather than what 's going on in your mind.
Week Four: Random acts of kindness. Do one act of kindness each day. Put some change in some strangers parking meter. Send someone a thank you note. Pay someone a compliment. Give yourself a burst of positive emotion. When we practice small acts of kindness, we will perceive ourselves and others more positive. You will learn to appreciate your good fortune.
These two changes will help too. Take a sunshine vitamin. Vitamin D increases serotonin which is your mood neurotransmitter. It boosts your immunity, promotes health, helps protect you from cancer. 15 minutes in the sun a few times a week will accomplish this. Sunscreen prevents getting adequate vitamin D, try skipping sunscreen for just 15 minutes a couple of times a week. Vitamin D is also in milk, egg yokes, or supplements(1000 units a day). Then,Cut out caffeine. I can hear the yells already, "W-h-a-t-, me cut out my caffeine!!!!
Coffee increases anxiety levels, especially if you get more than 300 mgs. a day. Anxiety causes irritability.
You may want to try green tea, it has 1/4 the amount of caffeine found in coffee. Caffeine causes headaches,especially if you get over 300 mgs. a day. Caffeine causes fatigue, caffeine is addictive, so you may be physically dependent. Cut back gradually until you are off it completely. These helps along with walking with the Lord in fellowship with him will make a difference in you.

When your hut's on fire

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him. Every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. He felt the worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. He cried out, 'God! How could you do this to me?' Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island! It had come to rescue him! 'How did you know I was here?' asked the weary man of his rescuers. 'We saw your smoke signal,' they replied.

The Moral of This Story:
It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of our pain and suffering. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of God.

I hope this will encourage you today if you feel like your "huts on fire".

Nothing profound today but I have been thinking about something that I wold love to hear your feed back on.
Here is the question.
When you hear of devastation, a friend of a friend has passed away, someone has been diagnosed with an illness, what is your first thought?

Mine is typically, that my heart just hurts for them, for their family and of course usually wish that I could do something. I think that is perfectly normal. Yet at the same time, the past few weeks I have noticed that my first thought is "I wonder if they knew Christ?" "I wonder where they are today?" Shouldn't this be our first response? Shouldn't we be praying that people who don't know Him Will Know Him? I would love to hear your input.....please leave it in the comments!!!!!!

It's finally Friday!!!!! Praise the Lord! For me, it has been one of "those weeks". Lots of stress-ers in the midst of work and being just plain busy. At the same time this week, I chose to make conscience effort to focus on the positive and the good things. Trust me, I have discovered this week it is truly a choice.
Let's look at some examples......
Daycare is closed for Easter Monday
a)Get totally stressed because I need to work.
b)Pray about it and ask a friend who says "Of course, no problem"
New Electronic Medical Records System at work.
a)Become totally negative and want a pen and paper for life
b)Get excited about how much easier life is going to be once we figure it out and make it fun
Get home late and still need to do dinner, bath, bedtime, clean up a little
a)Get an attitude and bark orders and complain the entire time(Of course, I know that we don't ever do that right???)
b)Take one thing at a time and not get stressed and treasure every part of your evening.

Do you get the idea? I can honestly say that this has been a VERY busy week in our house and at work. I chose, with God's help, to stay focused on Him. What about your week? What and how did you chose to face your stess-ers?

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does-comes not from the Father but from the world.

The Life Application Bible offers this insight:

Some people think that worldliness is limited to external behavior-the people we associate with, the places we go, the activities we enjoy. Worldliness is also internal because it begins in the heart and is characterized by three attitudes.

1) the cravings of the sinful man-preoccupation with gratifying physical desires;
2) the lust of his eyes-craving and accumulating things, bowing down to the god of materialism;
3) boasting of what he has and does-obsession of one's status or importance...

By contrast, God values self-control, a spirit of generosity, and a commitment to humble service. It is possible to give the impression of avoiding worldly pleasures while still harboring worldly attitudes in your heart.

Do you ever lull yourself into complacency because you DO all the right things? Have you checked your heart's attitude lately?

Testimony Tuesday is going to be different for a few weeks. A few months ago I felt God was asking me to start recording some scripture in a journal. So, I did. What I have found is that God has given me some scripture that I can not ignore. It is challenging me and changing my heart. So, each week I am going to share with you a piece of scripture. I hope that you spend the day meditating on it and I pray that it will change you.

Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave of himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Do you ever feel like you God is asking you to do something way beyond anything you can ever imagine doing? Pastor Rick Warren says you are in good company

"Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah was unattractive, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was codependent, Rahab was immoral, David had an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was depressed, Johna was reluctant , Naomi was a widow, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot-tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zachaeus was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid. That's quite a group of misfits, but God used each of them in his service. He will use you too."(excerpt from the Purpose Driven Life)

When you hear that voice calling you to do something out of your comfort zone, I encourage you not look at your own inabilities and don't focus on your insecurities, but instead look at an Almighty God who is able. Get excited, wait and watch as He does a work in and through you.

Prayer...
It is a powerful thing. I just want to share with you something God did on Sunday night. I was scheduled to do the special music Sunday night. It has been a long time since I have sung and I was nervous, but I was certain God had directed me to this particular song, I had practiced and I was excited. Then I came down with this cold and literally nothing was coming out. I almost pulled Dave aside and told him I couldn't do it, but I had some people say, "NO, we will pray you through this. My husband prayed for me and I had some dear friends pray for me. Honestly, I wanted to throw up my hands and quit but I kept hearing this voice saying "They are praying are you expecting Me to answer." I had to admit that I didn't truly believe I was going to be able to sing that night but I said okay. I got to church and I had not sang the song without my voice leaving me or going into what Troy called dead ducketto(you know instead of falsetto). I looked up and across the room I saw a prayer warrior, I went to her with tears and asked her to pray and we did. She reminded me that I was singing for an audience of One. The time came and the presence of the Lord completely took over. I was sitting at His feet, praising and worshiping Him like I do most mornings in my pj's. I don't really remember much about singing the song or how it sounded but I do know that God answered my prayers and if I had given in and quit I would have missed out on a huge blessing. I also learned that when I ask people to pray for me I should do so expecting answers. What started out as a night where I thought I was supposed to sing a song turned into an appointment with MY LORD I will not soon forget.

“I am the bread of life, Jesus told them” John 6:35 (HCSB)

Preparation of bread in Central Asia is filled with tradition, as I discovered during a bread-making lesson. I could hear my teacher instruct emphatically, “Don’t leave any dough sticking to the sides of the bowl. Never knead it roughly. Love your dough. When leaving it to rise, punch your fist into the middle of the dough, kiss your fist, and then touch your forehead as a prayer. Bread should never be dropped on the floor, turned upside down, or otherwise treated disrespectfully”.
Unfortunately, I can forget these cultural “rules”. Being friendly toward 5-year-old Bibimo while her mother was busy, I sat down to have tea and bread with her. I offered a chunk of bread to Bibimo, who politely refused. When I tore off a piece for myself, I clumsily dropped it on the floor.
Not realizing my cultural mistake, I smiled, but Bibimo gasped as she retrieved it and set it on the table, adjusting the bread right side up. Kissing her fingers, she reverently touched the bread, her brow furrowed in concern, worried that something bad would happen.
I thanked the Lord for not allowing anyone else to witness my cultural blunder. Still, my heart broke for this child with such ingrained fears etched into her mind. Freedom from fear is needed among the peoples of Central Asia, and only the Bread of life can offer it.

Last Friday we had fun with Chick-Fil-A. This week I have made some changes in somethings that I need to work on. Not only physically but spiritually. Focusing on not complaining, being the wife and mother that He wants me to be. It's a lot of work but the rewards are just incredible. Working on different aspects amazes me how they all work together. Is God Good or what!!!!!!! In all of the things that I am working on, I always here people talk about watching their diets and keeping up with calories and all sorts of other things. I saw this video and could not help but literally laugh out loud. I thought it was so funny and then it hit me......."It sounds like something I would do or say". I just had to laugh at myself. Hope you enjoy it.
By the way.....what does He have you working on? Please share and we can be praying for you!!!

I cannot figure out my body! How come when I am so exhausted I cannot sleep? I just knew when I fell into bed last night I would not remember my head even hitting the pillow. I was tired physically, mentally, emotionally, ... just totally worn out! But guess what? I remember my head hitting the pillow, Scott's head hitting the pillow, the kids going to bed, the bugs singing, the cat settling down for the night, the clock numbers changing one by one and a whole lot more. Eventually I got up and tried sleeping somewhere else.

But sleep still evaded me. So, as any good list maker and type A personality would do, I decided to take full advantage of my being awake. First I thought through what I needed to do today. Then when I was sure I had my day filled I decided to get "spiritual." Maybe if I spent time with God I would sleep. So I started in with God on my list - praying about the kids, for some friends who need a special touch, for the house to sell, for our partnership development, and a whole lot more stuff. Guess what - I was not only still awake, I was no more relaxed and ready to fall asleep than I was when I worked on my to do list.

Then I remembered about a year ago reading an article about not being able to sleep and decided to give it's method a try. Just use the hours of the night to spend time with God for who God is. Not for what He can do or you need Him to do, just for who he is. Spend time resting in His arms and praising and thanking him for being God. The article offered several strategies but the only one I could remember was alphabetical. Shoot - it was the middle of the night, I was exhausted, and sleep was nowhere to be found - so why not give it a try. And so I began...

A - God you are amazing, almighty, all powerful, all knowing, ...
B - God I praise you for being my God, the blessings you have bestowed on me, ...
C - your creation is beyond anything words can express, thank you for the cross, ..
D - your death Lord was the cost of my salvation and I thank you...

Somewhere around E or F I began to feel myself totally relaxing and the last thing I remember is telling God that I praise Him for my life that will be lived eternally.

This wasn't a gimmick, it was relationship that gave a peace that passes all understanding. By just spending time with God and remembering what kind of God He was I not only relaxed physically, but mentally and emotionally and was able to drift into a peaceful sleep knowing who holds my life and all the details in it in his hands.

And the rest of the night was filled with sleep..... until the cat decided she needed to be under the blinds in the window - but at least it was morning at that point.

What's keeping you awake at night? What do you do to when you can't sleep? Is it working? Maybe remembering your ABC's will work for you too. May tonight be filled with peaceful, restful sleep!

"Marching for the Next Generation” is to march throught the parking lot or track of area schools and cover them with prayer. Come by the table in the Commons area and write the name of the school where you marched on a "footprint" and post it on the board. We want to march at every school in the area.

Teaching Our Children To Pray

Praying for brothers and sisters
Holy Spirit, give my brothers and sisters a love for the Bible. Make Your Word come alive and be real to them. Let it show them how to know You better. Help them want to learn the Bible so their faith will grow and they will make You happy in all they do. (Ps 119:97, Ro 10:17, Josh 1:8, Ps 119:11)

Praying for Mom
God, help my mom to become good friends with You. Show her how much You love her . Help her to welcome You into every part of her life and hart so that she can get to know You more. (john 15:15-16, Revelation 3:20)

Praying for Dad
Lord, show my dad how to be kind and loving , slow to anger, and quick to forgive. Give him the kind of heart You have, Father-one that is full of love for his children and others (Ps. 103:8-13)
