Searching For The Savior Saturday

Since this is the week of Valentines and everyone focuses is on love, I could not help but to think about the love that the missionaries on the field share.
We as "the people at home" tend to think that missionaries are constantly knocking on doors, standing on street corners, preaching in a church, a retreat, ladies conference, men's conference, or teaching about Christ 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Granted, some missionaries ARE doing this. We also have to remember that even though they are missionaries and they are serving on foreign ground that they are sharing Christ much the same way that you and I share Christ. Being in a foreign land requires MUCH work before you can share. You must have a friendship/relationship with that person. They want to know that they can trust you. They need that security just like we do. It is a lot of work here in the states and SO much harder on the field in another country. Missionaries will often be creative in the ways that they reach their community and country where they are.
*A Quilting Group
*Teaching English
*Training Business men
*Women in to their home for tea
*Providing childcare if it's needed to a neighbor
These are the things that they can do to gently open the door to share their faith and be able to share with them how much Jesus loves them.
As we are here in the states, we so often take such things for granted. We can freely share with those around us, but do we? Do we share with our friends? Do we share with our co-workers? What about the neighbor that just moved in down the street? When was the last time we opened our home to a Quilting Group?
As you pray today for our missionaries, please remember the Great Commission called ALL of us. We may not be on foreign soil but we are ALL missionaries and called to share the love of Christ. How will you share His LOVE this week?
